About MoneyMint

MoneyMint helps Canadians compare credit cards, banking products, and other financial services in one place — with information that’s clear, accurate, and free to use.

Our Mission

Choosing a credit card or bank account shouldn’t require reading a dozen pages of fine print. Our goal is to make that process simpler: we research financial products so you don’t have to, and we present what we find in plain language — fees, rates, rewards, and the trade-offs that matter, without the jargon.

We built MoneyMint around one idea: a comparison site is only useful if you can trust it. That means being upfront about how we make money, honest about a product’s downsides as well as its upsides, and careful to never present one option as universally “best” when the right choice depends on the person using it.

How We Research and Fact-Check

Every product page and guide on MoneyMint is built from information published directly by the financial institution offering the product — official rate sheets, terms and conditions, and product disclosure documents — supplemented by information from government and regulatory sources where relevant. We do not invent statistics, rates, fees, features, or reviews.

Financial products change: issuers adjust interest rates, fees, and rewards programs over time. We work to keep our content current, but terms can change faster than any website can track. Always confirm current rates, fees, and terms directly with the issuer or provider before applying for a product.

How We Make Money

MoneyMint is supported through affiliate partnerships. When you click certain links on our site and apply for or sign up with a financial product, we may earn a commission from that company. This comes at no additional cost to you — the products we cover generally cost the same whether you find them through us or elsewhere.

Affiliate relationships never determine our editorial opinions. We aim to cover the strengths and weaknesses of a product honestly, including products that don’t pay us a commission, because our priority is that you find the option that actually fits your situation — not the one that pays the most.

Our Editorial Standards

  • We describe both the advantages and the drawbacks of every product we cover.
  • We do not present any single product as the universal “best” option for everyone.
  • We disclose affiliate relationships clearly, rather than burying them in fine print.
  • Content on MoneyMint is general educational and comparison information — it is not personalized financial, legal, tax, or investment advice, and it shouldn’t be treated as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.
