This Privacy Policy is provided for general informational purposes and does not constitute legal advice. It is a starting-point document and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. We recommend having a qualified lawyer review this policy for compliance with applicable law before relying on it.
MoneyMint.ca (“MoneyMint,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated as a sole proprietorship based in British Columbia, Canada. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit or use this website, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Analytics data. We use Google Analytics (via the MonsterInsights plugin) to understand how visitors use our site — for example, which pages are viewed, how long visitors stay, and what device or browser they use. This data is generally aggregated and does not identify you by name, though it may involve identifiers such as your IP address and cookies.
- Heatmaps and session recordings. We use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors use our pages, such as where they click and how far they scroll, so we can make our content clearer. Clarity uses first- and third-party cookies and similar technology to capture clicks, scrolling and mouse movement. We have set Clarity to hide all page text and anything you type into forms, so it does not capture your email address or other entries. For more about how Microsoft collects and uses this data, see the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
- Contact form submissions. If you use our Contact page, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide, so we can respond to your inquiry.
- Newsletter and popup sign-ups. We use OptinMonster to display email sign-up popups and forms. If you choose to provide your email address through one of these, we (or our email service provider) will store it so we can send you the communications you signed up for.
- Site security and performance data. We use Jetpack, which may collect technical data (such as IP address and browser information) to help protect the site from spam and abuse and to monitor performance.
- Cookies. See the “Cookies” section below.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as government ID numbers, financial account numbers, or passwords through this website. Please never send this type of information to us through our contact form or email.
How We Use Information
- To respond to questions, feedback, or inquiries you send us.
- To send newsletter or email communications you’ve opted into, and to let you unsubscribe at any time.
- To understand how our site is used, so we can improve content, navigation, and performance.
- To maintain the security of our website and prevent spam or abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations, where applicable.
We do not sell your personal information.
Affiliate Links and Third-Party Sites
MoneyMint participates in affiliate marketing programs. Some links on our site are affiliate links, meaning that if you click through and apply for or sign up with a product, we may earn a commission — at no additional cost to you. Affiliate partners and their tracking providers may set their own cookies or similar technologies when you click these links, which allow them to track that a referral came from our site. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the privacy practices of these third-party companies. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit through a link on MoneyMint.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We and our third-party tools (including Google Analytics, OptinMonster, Jetpack, and affiliate network partners) use cookies to recognize your browser, remember preferences, measure site usage, and track affiliate referrals. You can set your browser to refuse some or all cookies, or to alert you when a cookie is being set. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of our site function.
Data Sharing
We share information only with the service providers that help us operate this website and its communications — for example, our analytics provider (Google), our popup/email provider (OptinMonster and our email delivery service), our form provider (WPForms), and our hosting and security providers. These providers process information on our behalf and are generally restricted from using it for their own independent purposes. We may also disclose information if required to do so by law.
Data Retention
We retain contact form submissions and email sign-up information for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry or to fulfill the communications you’ve opted into, or until you ask us to delete it. Analytics data is generally retained according to the default retention settings of our analytics provider.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of the information we hold about you, and the right to withdraw consent (such as unsubscribing from emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any message).
As a business operating in Canada, we aim to handle personal information consistent with the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Depending on how this business is structured and where it operates, British Columbia’s provincial private-sector privacy law, the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), may also apply in place of or alongside PIPEDA. We are not able to provide a definitive legal determination of which regime applies, and this is noted here for transparency rather than as legal advice.
To exercise any privacy right or ask a question about how your information is handled, contact us at hello@moneymint.ca.
Children’s Privacy
MoneyMint is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
